Kiriyenko is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by EMINEM - lose yourself. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kiriyenko scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

It looks like Kiriyenko might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Kiriyenko throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Iks fails with an attempt to clinch.
Iks looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kiriyenko is fending him off so far but Iks persists. Nope, Kiriyenko circles away and we're back to standing.

Kiriyenko darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Iks has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kiriyenko is working away from the top position though.

Iks manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kiriyenko manages to get himself to full guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kiriyenko is on top in guard.

Iks shoots in for a double leg but Kiriyenko sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Kiriyenko stuffs the takedown attempt from Iks. Iks gets slowly back to his feet.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kiriyenko drops back looking for a leg! Iks is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Iks manages to kick Kiriyenko off! Kiriyenko jumps back into Iks's guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Aleksandr Kiriyenko showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Kiriyenko will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Kiriyenko is taking a breather. Iks says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Iks is trying to get back to full guard.
Kiriyenko landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Kiriyenko winds up and cracks Iks with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Iks takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Iks reaches up to try and control the position but Kiriyenko seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Iks rolls and tries to escape and now Kiriyenko has his back!

Kiriyenko is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Iks has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Kiriyenko is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
