Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mr Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Ross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Green comes to the cage accompanied by yes. Ross has chosen Show me how to live as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Green checks a leg kick nicely.
Ross throws a hook but Green avoids it easily.
Ross swinging wildly here.

Ross has closed the distance and engaged Green in a clinch.
Ross throws an elbow but it's blocked.

Green misses with the head strike.
Green jumps guard but Ross turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Green creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Green jumps guard but Ross stands there with Green around his waist. Green gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Green is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Ross to keep the fight standing.

Green wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Ross has him pressed against the cage.
Ross can't find room to land a body shot as Green controls the action.

Ross creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Green's defenses.

It looks like Mr Green has been cut.
Green is trying to force a seperation but Ross has the dominant position.

Green drops down looking for an ankle pick but Ross pulls his leg out and moves away.

Green takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

and Ross connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Green will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Green tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ross tries to close the distance and clinch up but Green swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Green uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Ross smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Ross throws a half hearted mid kick.
Ross buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Green avoids the head kick by Ross.

Green throws a jab when Ross was well out of range.
Green looks to land a left hand but Ross moved out of range nicely.
Ross throws a leg kick that is checked
and Green counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Nice shot lands for Green.
Green misses with the combination.
Ross misses the shot to the body.
Ross lands a body shot.
Rick Ross is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ross throws a nice outside leg kick.
Rick Ross seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ross lands a head kick. Green smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Green is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Green on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Ross. Ross obviously looking to wear him down.
Oh Green is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Nice defenses there by Ross.
Green seems to have got his legs back now.

Nice shot lands for Ross.
Ross throws a nice inside leg kick.
Nice takedown defense from Ross. No joy for Green on that attempt.
A swing and a miss from Green.
Ross moves out of range of the strikes.
Ross throws a leg kick that misses.
Ross connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Green's hands.
Ross fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Green manages to avoid it.
Ross tries to clinch up.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Ross throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Ross tries to score with a low kick but Green moves his leg out of the way.

and Green counters with a takedown into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rick Ross dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Mr Green's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Ross throws a hook to the side of Green's head but Green sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Ross lands an overhand right.
Ross cracks the inside of Green's front leg.
Ross throws a leg kick but Green sees it coming and moves out of range.
Ross misses with a head kick.

Green darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Green is looking to take a break and control but Ross is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Green works his foot free and advances to mount.
Ross blocking the ground and pound.
Green has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Ross keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Green is landing with some decent strikes but Ross is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Ross is desperately trying to improve his position but Green has a good base and remains in mount.
Green throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.

Green thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Green cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Green avoids the attempt from Ross to control.

Mr Green overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Poor strikes thrown by Green there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Green fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Ross is rocked!
Green loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Ross scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Green land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Green stands and salutes the crowd.
