Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendez throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Kaitani on the side of the head.
Kaitani looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
No joy there for Mendez, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Mendez stalks Kaitani and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Kaitani's face. Kaitani staggers backwards, shaken.
Mendez misses with the combination.
Mendez looks to land a combination but Kaitani avoids it well.
Mendez lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

It looks like Riku Kaitani has been cut.
Mendez rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kaitani moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Mendez moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Mendez lunges at Kaitani with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Kaitani's hand.
Mendez throws a series of strikes that have Kaitani backpedaling.

Kaitani is rocked!
No joy there for Mendez, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Oh Kaitani is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kaitani walks straight into a right hand from Mendez - that's dropped him! Mendez jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Kaitani from any more punishment! Kaitani complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
