Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Stants (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Britton Gray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stants darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Stants's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Gray has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Stants is working away from the top position though.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Stants in particular looking to stall.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of David Stants.

Stants closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Gray's guard.

Gray wants to get up but he can't break Stants's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Britton Gray has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Stants bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Stants seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Gray for as long as he can get away with.
