The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sockem tries to bum rush Dudd with a series of wild strikes but Dudd uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Dudd is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Jab, jab by Sockem - just one landing.

Dudd scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Dudd is looking for a kimura here.
Dudd is pressing down on Sockem's thigh, looking to free his foot. Sockem is holding on for now.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Dudd wants to work for an arm triangle but Sockem is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Dudd thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dudd is staying tight to Sockem's torso, preventing him from escaping.

Dudd is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Sockem is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Dudd is working to tighten is grip on Sockem's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Sockem has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Dudd is really squeezing tight and eventually Sockem passes out! Dudd breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
