Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ted Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rolando Souto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Souto has chosen Jorge Quintero - 300 violin orchestra as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ted Parker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rolando Souto!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parker swinging wildly here.

Parker gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Souto's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Parker moves to clinch but Souto breaks away

and Souto counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Souto stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Parker swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Parker avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Souto accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Parker wants to stand and escape but Souto is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Souto stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Parker swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Souto prevents Parker from getting back to his feet.
Souto has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Parker has his feet on Souto's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Parker tries to close the distance and clinch up but Souto swats him away and circles back towards the center.
A slapping body kick lands there for Souto.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Souto bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Parker's head.
Souto misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

and Souto decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Parker's guard.
Parker keeping full guard, as Souto tries to pass.
Souto postures up in Parker's guard and throws a big left but Parker blocks it.
Souto passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Parker is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Souto asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Souto throws an elbow but Parker slips to the side and avoids it well.
Parker pushes Souto away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Souto gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Parker is breathing heavily.

Souto is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Parker is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Souto is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Parker knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Parker is pushing Souto's head away, looking to escape. Souto manages to hold on to the position though.
Souto trying to control the action but Parker is working from the bottom.

Souto is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Parker has escaped the position, nice work there.
Parker avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Souto.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Parker dodges the ground and pound from Souto.
Parker is not content to let Souto control the position.

Souto looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rolando Souto dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Souto dives in and grabs Parker's left leg, looking for a takedown. Parker pushes down on Souto's head and hops out.
Ted Parker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Souto moves into range and clinches up with Parker.

Parker has picked Souto up - he's going for a ride! Parker dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
It looks like Parker is going to stand back up.
Souto is looking to escape.

Parker stands up from half guard.
Souto is looking to clinch but Parker is avoiding it.

Souto shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Souto was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Parker is trying to stand.
The referee warns Parker that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Souto with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Souto is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Parker has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Parker seems to have got his legs back now.
Souto tries to control but Parker wriggling away.
Parker is trying to stand up.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Souto postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Parker looks a forlorn figure.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Parker wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
BOOM! Souto connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Oooh a big shot lands for Souto! Parker is out! The ref dives in to save him from more punishment!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Rolando Souto!
A very excited looking Rolando Souto made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
