Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Michal Iksinski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sergey Buyvolov!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Sergei Dronov and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Iksinski is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Buyvolov.
Buyvolov shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Iksinski sprawls well. Iksinski wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Buyvolov gets slowly back to his feet.

Iksinski bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Buyvolov takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Iksinski throws a strike aimed at the side of Buyvolov's head but Buyvolov avoids it well.
Iksinski in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Iksinski is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Iksinski creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Iksinski just content to control the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Buyvolov takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Iksinski is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Buyvolov will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Iksinski lands an elbow.
Iksinski looks up at the clock and then as Buyvolov takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Iksinski smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Iksinski lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Buyvolov down.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Iksinski thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Iksinski in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Buyvolov is tapping! That's the end of the fight!

After winning the bout, Michal Iksinski thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
