Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Juancho Rivera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rashad Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Evans comes into a darkened arena with his song building. j kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are William Peck, Yves DeLean and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Evans blocks a jab.

Evans misses with a takedown attempt - Rivera sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
A telegraphed right hand from Rivera misses the target.
Rashad Evans seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Evans throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rivera's waist but Rivera gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Evans off to one side.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Evans accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Evans is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Rivera.

Evans shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Rivera but Rivera pushes him off and we're back to square one.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Rivera creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Evans changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rivera tries to avoid it but Evans manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rivera to the ground. Rivera escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Evans is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Rivera is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Rivera has escaped and now he's on top!

Evans is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Rivera got a little sloppy there for a moment and Evans has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rivera has managed to get both his arms back between Evans's legs - danger averted.

Evans shoots in looking for a takedown but Rivera manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Evans's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Rivera fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Evans has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
