The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fisher shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Schmidt as he avoids it easily.
Fisher chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Schmidt can pounce on him.
A jab from Schmidt finds it's way through Fisher's defenses.
Fisher doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Schmidt counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
