Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Clay Guida!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Totally Stink!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Guida gets a double leg takedown into Stink's guard.

Guida stands and steps away. Stink gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Guida drives through with a takedown into guard.

Guida gets to his feet - Stink follows without any prompting.
Guida dives in and grabs Stink's left leg, looking for a takedown. Stink pushes down on Guida's head and hops out.
Stink shoots and misses

and Guida counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Stink!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Stink is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Guida controlling the position easily from mount.

Guida goes for an armbar but Stink turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Stink.

Stink avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Guida avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Stink stays in close to Guida's body and controls the position.
Guida tries to strike from the bottom.
Guida is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Stink really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Guida. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Guida decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

and Guida counters with a shoot takedown. Stink fights it but they end up in guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Guida stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Stink swivels though and keeps the full guard.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Stink has Guida pulled in close to control his posture.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Clay Guida.
Stink rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Guida counters with a three punch combo that has Stink backing up. Stink nods at Guida to acknowledge the strikes.
Stink keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Guida has Stink up against the ropes in a clinch.

Guida has picked Stink up - he's going for a ride! Guida dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Stink keeps the fight on the outside.
Nice defenses there by Guida.
Stink stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Stink wants it to stay on the feet.
Guida fails with the takedown.
Stink pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Guida tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in the close the distance. Stink manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Guida stuffs the takedown attempt from Stink. Stink gets slowly back to his feet.
Stink avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Stink.

Stink tries to pull guard but Guida won't allow it.
Guida can't get the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Clay Guida. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Guida stops a takedown attempt from Stink.
Guida tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Stink just stands there and leans against the ropes.
Guida keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Stink's efforts to push away.
Guida prevents Stink from breaking the clinch.
Stink is trying to pull guard but Guida turns him against the ropes and we stay in the clinch.
Guida is working for takedown but Stink is calmly controlling the position for now.

Guida breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Stink throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Stink uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Guida.
Some bone on bone action there as Stink checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Stink closes the distance and clinches up with Guida, looking for a takedown. Stink pushes Guida against the ropes but Guida circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Guida shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Stink but Stink pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Guida fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Stink on the side of the head.
Clay Guida is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Stink gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Guida counters with a single leg into guard. Stink didn't expect that.
Stink is breathing heavily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Stink is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Clay Guida has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Guida misses with a wild combination.

Stink rushes Guida and presses him up against the ropes.

Guida gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Stink is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Guida in particular looking to stall.

Guida frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Guida looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Stink tries to lock up and control but Guida gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Guida is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Stink can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Guida closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Stink's guard.

Guida stands up from Stink's guard - Guida perhaps looking for a knockout.
Guida is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Stink can do to turn this around?

Guida swats away the attempt to clinch by Stink.
Stink misses with a head kick.
Stink tries to clinch but Guida moves out of range.

Guida rushes Stink and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.
Stink tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Guida just stands there and leans against the ropes.

Guida jumps guard and drags Stink to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Guida has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Stink can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Guida is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Guida pulls Stink in close to prevent any damage.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Guida pushes Stink off and scrambles back to his feet.

Guida has closed the distance and engaged Stink in a clinch.

Guida landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Stink takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Stink tries to buck Guida off but Guida is having none of it.
