Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gnome Chomsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gabriel Straszskyn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chomsky's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, System Of A Down - Sugar. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gabriel Straszskyn!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Nard Betker and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Chomsky.
Straszskyn tries to buck Chomsky off but Chomsky is having none of it.
Straszskyn is trying to control Chomsky's posture but Chomsky avoids it.
Chomsky misses with the ground and pound.

Chomsky tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Chomsky has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Straszskyn tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Chomsky trying to control the action but Straszskyn is working from the bottom.
Straszskyn tries to buck Chomsky off but Chomsky is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Chomsky wants to lay and pray for a moment but Straszskyn keeps working.
Chomsky works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Straszskyn wants to control but Chomsky postures up.

Straszskyn tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Chomsky wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Straszskyn managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Chomsky.

Chomsky wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Straszskyn, who protects the arm well.
Chomsky has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Chomsky controls the position.
Straszskyn can't do much from the bottom here.

Chomsky is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Straszskyn has escaped the position, nice work there.
Straszskyn is looking to regain half guard here but Chomsky keeps moving and retains side control.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Straszskyn wants to control but Chomsky postures up.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

We're going to have a standup here because Gnome Chomsky wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Straszskyn manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Chomsky wants to improve his position but Straszskyn is controlling well.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Straszskyn seems to be looking for submissions.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Straszskyn is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Straszskyn trying to control from Chomsky's half guard. Chomsky has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gnome Chomsky dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Chomsky shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Straszskyn looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Straszskyn is staying active underneath Chomsky, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Chomsky passes into side control, despite Straszskyn's attempt to control the position.
Chomsky wants to control but Straszskyn is keeping him busy.
Chomsky advances to full mount.
Chomsky fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!


Straszskyn is rocked!

Chomsky throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Straszskyn has his hands clasped together but Chomsky breaks the hold and Straszskyn is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Chomsky!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Gnome Chomsky!
