Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kenta Tottori (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shingo Yamamoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kenta Tottori could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Shingo Yamamoto's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Shingo Yamamoto!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shigeki Sano and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tottori feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Tottori slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Tottori's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Tottori shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Yamamoto as he jumps to the side.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Tottori will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
A combination from Yamamoto does no damage.

Yamamoto is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Tottori asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Tottori wants to lay and pray for a moment but Yamamoto keeps working.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Yamamoto avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Tottori fails to land the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kenta Tottori. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Yamamoto will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Shingo Yamamoto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tottori moves out of range of the body kick.

Tottori shoots for a takedown but Yamamoto saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Yamamoto looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Tottori shoots in for a double leg but Yamamoto sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Yamamoto pulls out of a head kick attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Tottori's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Tottori is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Yamamoto doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Tottori.

Well, if Tottori is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Tottori with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Yamamoto is squirming around, avoiding Tottori's attempts to control the action.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Tottori can't control as he wanted to and Yamamoto manages to get the fight back to his half guard.
Yamamoto is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Tottori is stalling here. Yamamoto is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Tottori seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Yamamoto has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Tottori is looking for a sweep.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Yamamoto lands a big head kick that sends Tottori to the canvas! Yamamoto follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
