Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Fenton Meeks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Muad Dib!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Bruno Hogan and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dib gets tackled into the ropes by Meeks. Meeks maintains the clinch.
Meeks stalling the fight.
Meeks lands with a right to the head.
Dib jumps guard but Meeks stands there with Dib around his waist. Dib gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Meeks has Dib pushed against the ropes.

Dib has Meeks pressed up against the ropes. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Dib pulls back from the ropes and twists to the side, sending Meeks tumbling to the mat - Dib dives into Meeks's guard.
Dib passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Meeks is looking to regain half guard here but Dib keeps moving and retains side control.
Meeks is working hard here to advance position.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Meeks manages to work his way to half guard, despite Dib's best efforts.
Meeks knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dib on the ground.
Meeks tries to get to full guard but Dib has control of the leg.

Dib throwing shots but Meeks is blocking nicely.
Meeks is looking for a sweep. Dib is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Dib seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Meeks does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Dib in particular looking to stall.
Meeks is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Dib scores with a couple of nice shots.
Meeks is trying is best to control the position here.

Dib looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Dib stopping the sweep attempt from Meeks.
Meeks is trying to keep Dib in close.
Meeks wants to sweep here but Dib controlling him for the moment.

Muad Dib has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Meeks fails in his attempt to clinch.
Meeks works over Dib's head and body with a nice combination.


It looks like Muad Dib has been cut.
Dib looks to score with a jab to the body but Meeks is just out of range.
Meeks throws a head kick but Dib moves out of range.
Dib changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Meeks tries to avoid it but Dib manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Meeks to the ground. Meeks escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Meeks wants to clinch up but Dib keeps it at a distance.
Meeks throws a series of strikes that have Dib backpedaling.

Meeks drops Dib with a beautiful combination! Dib stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Meeks is looking for the KO!


Dib is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Dib is defended easily by Meeks.
Dib is still on wobbly legs! Can Meeks finish him?
Fenton Meeks has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Muad Dib.

Meeks connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Dib to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Meeks!
