Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bobby Lashley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tank Abott!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lashley lands a left and a right that send Abott crashing to the mat, dazed. Lashley thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Tank Abott has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Horrible takedown by Lashley or perhaps it was just good defense by Abott which made him look bad.
Lashley closes the distance and clinches up with Abott, looking for a takedown. Lashley pushes Abott against the ropes but Abott circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Abott tries for a takedown but Lashley sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Abott looks to land a combination. Lashley sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
It looks like Bobby Lashley has been cut.
Lashley drops Abott with a beautiful combination! Abott stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Lashley is looking for the KO!
Abott is rocked!
Abott looks to clinch
and Lashley counters with a right, left combo that wobbles Abott badly! Lashley follows up with a massive right hook, straight to the bridge of the nose that knocks Abott out cold! Oh wow, what a finish! Very reminiscent of Koscheck vs Yoshida as Lashley finished him against the ropes.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Bobby Lashley!
