Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
12 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, The Demon Knight!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marcus Behnder!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knight lands a leg kick that knocks Behnder off balance momentarily.
Behnder shoots in looking for a takedown. Knight tries to sprawl out of it but Behnder keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Knight manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Behnder throws a right and a left that Knight avoids nicely.
Behnder blocks a head kick by Knight.
Behnder blocks the body kick.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Behnder.
Knight throws a quick inside leg kick.
Behnder moves out of range of the body kick.
Behnder throws a lazy right hand but Knight sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Knight pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Knight chopping away at his opponent's legs.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Knight throws a sloppy head kick and Behnder moves out of range easily.
Behnder drives through with a takedown into guard.
Behnder works over Knight with some ground and pound from guard.
Behnder passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Knight taking a bit of punishment here - Behnder scoring with strikes.
Behnder lands an elbow.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Behnder in side control lands a decent elbow.
Behnder landing a few strikes.
Knight takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Behnder wants to control but Knight is keeping him busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Behnder is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Knight is trying to escape and Behnder transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Knight is forced to tap! Nice work there by Behnder! Very nice indeed!
