The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kingston shoots in looking for a takedown but Briedis manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kingston's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Briedis tries to close the distance and clinch but Kingston swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Briedis fails with an attempt to clinch.
Kingston walks into a left hand.
Briedis tries to clinch up.
Kingston tries to score a power double leg takedown but Briedis sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kingston somewhat.
Briedis throws a right hand that Kingston ducks under and follows up with a left that Kingston also avoids with ease.
Kingston avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kingston.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for LeChoke Kingston. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Briedis misses with a low kick.

Briedis gets a double leg takedown into Kingston's guard.
