Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between George Hattingh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gary Goodridge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for George Hattingh has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, George Hattingh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gary Goodridge!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Matti Vanhoillinen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goodridge scores with a decent looking hook.
Goodridge has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Goodridge there as he acknowledges the shot.


It looks like Gary Goodridge has been cut.
Hattingh scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Goodridge doesn't seem bothered though.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hattingh throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Goodridge sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Hattingh swings for the body but Goodridge moves out of range.

and Goodridge counters with a shoot takedown. Hattingh fights it but they end up in guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Goodridge has gone for a leg lock! Hattingh slips out almost immediately though and dives into Goodridge's guard.
Hattingh knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Goodridge on the ground.

Goodridge manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hattingh manages to get himself to full guard.
Hattingh on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hattingh tries to get out of the position.

Goodridge drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Goodridge jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Goodridge is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Hattingh to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Hattingh shrugs it off.

Goodridge is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Hattingh has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Goodridge is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Hattingh can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Goodridge swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Hattingh is now in Goodridge's guard. A big mistake from Goodridge there, giving up the dominant position!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Goodridge misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Hattingh lands with a nice body punch.
Hattingh connects with a body shot that sends Goodridge's belly button to the back.
Goodridge gets cracked there but stands up to it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hattingh tries to bum rush Goodridge with a series of wild strikes but Goodridge uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
A slow jab from Hattingh misses its intended target.
Hattingh bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Goodridge's head.
Hattingh looks to land a combination but Goodridge avoids it well.
Hattingh throws the kick towards the body but Goodridge avoids it.
Hattingh throws a front kick aimed at Goodridge's knee but Goodridge avoids it well.
Nice shot lands for Hattingh.
Goodridge looks for a takedown but Hattingh sprawls well.

Hattingh throws a looping overhand right but Goodridge ducks down to avoid it.
Hattingh throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Goodridge is trying hard to land a takedown here. Hattingh sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Goodridge dives in and grabs Hattingh's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hattingh pushes down on Goodridge's head and hops out.
George Hattingh has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gary Goodridge.

Goodridge checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Hattingh here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Hattingh is trying to break the clinch but Goodridge has him pressed against the ropes.
Hattingh has had enough of the clinch but Goodridge keeps him there for the moment.

Goodridge has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Hattingh avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Hattingh wants to stall.
Goodridge keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Hattingh's efforts to push away.
Hattingh is pressed up against the ropes. Goodridge has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Hattingh down to the mat. Hattingh avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Hattingh throws a jab when Goodridge was well out of range.

Hattingh can't keep his opponent in guard - Goodridge advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Goodridge shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

The fighters circle momentarily. Hattingh darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Goodridge closes the distance and clinches up with Hattingh, looking for a takedown. Goodridge pushes Hattingh against the ropes but Hattingh circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Oooooh!!! Hattingh has knocked Goodridge down with a huge combo! Hattingh steps away and waves a wobbly Goodridge back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!


Goodridge is rocked!
Hattingh is stalking Goodridge. Goodridge circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from Hattingh, and it's lights out! Goodridge really payed the price for that rookie mistake.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:32 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). George Hattingh!
George Hattingh gave a mention to ANABOLIC **160** and LAUNDRY in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
