Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Scorpien Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Georgi Tomow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tomow is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Lil Wayne - I'm a Go Getta. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rua shoots in and gets a takedown into Tomow's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Rua decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Tomow, up you get!
Tomow tries to clinch up.
Tomow tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rua paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Rua throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tomow's waist but Tomow gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rua off to one side.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Tomow enables Rua to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Tomow manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Rua gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Tomow doesn't manage to clinch there - Rua circles away.
Tomow is looking to clinch but Rua is avoiding it.
Rua shoots in but Tomow avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Rua gets to his feet - Tomow follows without any prompting.

Georgi Tomow seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Rua changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tomow tries to avoid it but Rua manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tomow to the ground. Tomow escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rua feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
