PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Craigie Bee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Scott King told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Scott King!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Steve Erwin and Hugh Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
King looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Bee scoring well with a low kick there.
Bee throws a quick inside leg kick.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from King.
A left lands for Bee.
King tries to move into range but Bee moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
King thows a body shot but no joy.
King throws a jab when Bee was well out of range.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
King ducks right into an uppercut from Bee.
Bee misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Bee bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Bee stuffs the takedown.
Bee ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Scott King seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bee throws a sloppy head kick and King moves out of range easily.
King fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Craigie Bee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Scott King.
Bee throws a body punch but King moves out of range.
Bee moves out of range of the strikes.

King misses with a hook.
Nice shot lands for Bee.
King takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Bee throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. King was covering up waiting for the punch and Bee finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
King avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bee is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Bee postures up in King's guard and throws a big left but King blocks it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Craigie Bee.
King misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Bee scores with a head kick.

Bee lands a right hook to the body.

Bee shoots in and bounces King off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

King is rocked!
Bee is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
King is still in real trouble! Can Bee finish him?
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if King can do anything to dispel that myth.
Bee postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! King covers up, he's hurt! Bee keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Bee and the ref steps in to end the fight! Bee can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
