Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kenichi Atoshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Connor Speed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Atoshi comes into the arena with Samourai blaring out of the sound system. Speed has chosen Sucker Punch / Army Of Me as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kenichi Atoshi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Connor Speed!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shigeki Sano and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Speed does it's job there.
Speed moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
A low kick from Speed is predictable there
and Atoshi counters with a big head kick but Speed shrugs it off.
Atoshi ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Speed moves away.
Atoshi walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Speed lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Atoshi tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Speed moves out of range of the body kick from Atoshi.
Speed moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Speed shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Atoshi eats them both and turns towards Speed to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Speed lands a slapping body shot.
Speed fails to land with a series of punches.
Speed swings for the body but Atoshi moves out of range.
Speed scores with a leg kick.
Atoshi misses with a takedown
and Speed counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Atoshi is breathing heavily.

Speed fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Speed connects with a body shot.
Speed with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Speed lands a right hook to the body.
Speed lands a nice hook to Atoshi's body. Atoshi takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Atoshi walks into a straight right hand from Speed.
Speed ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Speed lands a leg kick that knocks Atoshi off balance momentarily.
Speed turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Atoshi throws a leg kick but Speed sees it coming and moves out of range.

Speed has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Atoshi takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Speed connects with an inside leg kick.
Speed lands a jab to the head.
Oh Atoshi is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Speed lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Speed avoids a kick to the body.
Speed throws a leg kick which misses Atoshi's front leg but catches the back leg as Atoshi tries to avoid it.
Speed scores with a body shot.
Atoshi takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Speed throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Speed is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Atoshi had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Atoshi gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Speed gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

After winning the bout, Connor Speed thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
