The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McPherson drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
McPherson scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
McPherson trying to control the position from guard on top but Castle is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
McPherson is looking to advance position but Castle has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
McPherson tries to reverse the position but Castle maintains control.

Castle is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Castle slips under a jab.
Castle swats away the attempt to clinch by McPherson.
Castle displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from McPherson.

Castle throws a body punch but McPherson moves out of range.
A big left from Castle misses.
Frank Castle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McPherson shoots in and drives through. Castle sprawls well.
McPherson with a poor takedown
enabling Castle to counter with a crisp jab.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ian McPherson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Castle misses with a straight right.
McPherson closes the distance and lands a one-two.

McPherson looks to land a left hand but Castle moved out of range nicely.

McPherson has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Castle finds it's way round the side to connect with McPherson's head.
McPherson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Castle is fending him off so far but McPherson persists. Nope, Castle circles away and we're back to standing.
McPherson takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

It looks like Ian McPherson has been cut.

McPherson tries to move into range but Castle moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
McPherson blocks a jab.

The fighters circle momentarily. Castle darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Oh McPherson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Castle throws a quick inside leg kick.
McPherson is breathing heavily.
Castle lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Castle lands with a massive overhand right! Stick a fork in McPherson - he's out cold! Ermm... I think I just mixed my metaphors but yeah... That was a nice KO! Big win for Castle!
