Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between David Goliath (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Stann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goliath stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Goliath wants it to stay on the feet.
Goliath shoots in looking for a takedown. Stann tries to sprawl out of it but Goliath keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Stann manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

and Stann counters with a left to the body.

Goliath drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Stann manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Goliath has Stann in his guard.

Stann dives in and grabs Goliath's left leg, looking for a takedown. Goliath pushes down on Stann's head and hops out.

Stann ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Stann no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Goliath really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Stann's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Stann wants to hold on but Goliath pushes him away.
Goliath knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Stann on the ground.
Stann bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Stann drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Stann jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Well Stann has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
