And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Samanosuke displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Tanaka.
Samanosuke throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Samanosuke misses with a low kick as Tanaka jumps back.
Tanaka shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Samanosuke throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Tanaka scores a takedown into full mount!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Tanaka looking to finish Samanosuke with some ground and pound. This is bad for Samanosuke!
Samanosuke is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Tanaka fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Samanosuke is desperately trying to improve his position but Tanaka has a good base and remains in mount.

Tanaka pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Tanaka drops a big elbow. That's hurt Samanosuke! More shots from Tanaka and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
