The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Smith is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by The Thai Zombie .
Smith throws a hook to the side of The Thai Zombie 's head but The Thai Zombie sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
The Thai Zombie shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Smith pinned against the cage. Smith gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Smith misses with an uppercut. The Thai Zombie saw that one coming.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Smith leaves The Thai Zombie with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Smith misses with a series of wild punches.
Smith cracks The Thai Zombie with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Roger Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Smith tries to hold on but The Thai Zombie postures up.
Smith is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Smith regains half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Smith is pressing down on The Thai Zombie 's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Smith wants to get back to his feet but The Thai Zombie is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Roger Smith wasn't active enough on the ground.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Smith rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but The Thai Zombie moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Roger Smith showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Smith throws a right and a left that both miss.

Smith drops The Thai Zombie with a right and a left! Smith comes rushing in but The Thai Zombie regains his composure and manages to keep Smith in guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Smith is pushing down on The Thai Zombie 's leg trying to pass to half guard. The Thai Zombie is fighting to maintain full guard but Smith has managed to sneak the leg through.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

The Thai Zombie is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Smith jumps into side control!
The Thai Zombie is trying to escape the position but Smith is controlling the position.

Smith has worked his way into a potential kimura here. The Thai Zombie is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Smith yanks on the arm and The Thai Zombie is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Smith.
