The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Kenichi Hosakawa and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Verne throws a body punch but Sackett moves out of range.
Sackett bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Verne is trying to control Sackett's posture but Sackett avoids it.

Sackett unloads with some shots from mount but Verne bucks and avoids them well.
Sackett lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
The cut above Johannes Verne's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Johannes Verne's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
