The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Styles scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Bob doesn't seem bothered though.
Styles scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Styles lands a front kick.
Bob looks gassed!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Styles.
Xavier Styles seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Styles throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Bob was covering up waiting for the punch and Styles finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Styles in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bob wants to improve his position but instead Styles has moved into half guard.

Styles looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Bob with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Styles thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Styles will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
