PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Lewis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zack Deadlock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Deadlock shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Lewis is trying to defend but Deadlock finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Deadlock wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Deadlock drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Deadlock creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Lewis sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
You can see the frustration on Lewis's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Lewis is looking for a sweep.
Deadlock remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Lewis is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Deadlock's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Deadlock's back!

Well Deadlock has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
