The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Johnson postures up in Houses's guard and throws a big left but Houses blocks it.

Johnson kicks Houses off and gets to his feet.
Houses tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Johnson counters with a nice leg kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Houses is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Houses leaves Johnson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Houses drives through and clinches with Johnson against the cage.
Johnson is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Houses gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Houses is trying to push Johnson away but Johnson has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Johnson drops down looking for an ankle pick but Houses pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andy Johnson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Houses shoots in for a double leg but Johnson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
