Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lance Burns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Calm Like a Bomb. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Russell Pearce and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burns swinging wildly here.
Silva with a poor takedown
and Burns counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Burns avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Burns is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Burns must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Silva is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Burns is aware though and is defending well.
Burns stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Silva swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Burns got a little sloppy there for a moment and Silva has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Burns has managed to get both his arms back between Silva's legs - danger averted.

Silva drops back, looking for a kneebar! Burns looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Burns looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Burns!
Burns stands up and beckons Silva to his feet.
Burns closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Silva did well to prevent Burns getting side control.
Silva is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Burns pulls his head out easily.

Burns is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Silva defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

What can Silva do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Well Burns has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
