Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Warrick Dunn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Stephen Geisbert!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Geisbert throws a right and a left that both miss.
Dunn looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Dunn fails with the takedown
and Geisbert counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Geisbert.
Geisbert passes into half guard.
Geisbert drops an elbow to the side of Dunn's head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Geisbert looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Geisbert is pressing down on Dunn's thigh, looking to free his foot. Dunn is holding on for now.
Geisbert is figuring out what he wants to do next.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Geisbert tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Stephen Geisbert.
Geisbert doesn't manage to clinch there - Dunn circles away.
Dunn keeps the fight on the outside.
Geisbert lands a big head kick that sends Dunn tumbling to the mat! Geisbert takes a step backwards and waves Dunn back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Dunn is rocked!
It looks like Warrick Dunn has been cut.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Geisbert has taken the fight to the clinch.
Oh Dunn is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Geisbert pushes Dunn back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Geisbert lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Geisbert has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Dunn regains guard immediately.
Geisbert gets to his feet. Dunn looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Geisbert cracks Dunn with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Dunn tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Geisbert pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Dunn is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Stephen Geisbert!
