The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big right from Tenks misses.
Mondello shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Tenks pinned against the cage. Tenks gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Mondello misses with a leg kick
and Tenks counters with a three punch combo that has Mondello backing up. Mondello nods at Tenks to acknowledge the strikes.
Mondello shoots in and drives through. Tenks sprawls well.
Tenks throws a sloppy head kick and Mondello moves out of range easily.
Mondello has a takedown stuffed.
Go Tenks has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Logan Mondello.

Tenks throws a sloppy head kick and Mondello moves out of range easily.
Logan Mondello seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tenks drives through and clinches with Mondello against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Tenks escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

enabling Tenks to counter with a crisp jab.

Mondello gets tackled into the cage by Tenks. Tenks maintains the clinch.
Tenks breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Mondello shoots in and drives through. Tenks sprawls well.
Tenks displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Mondello.
Tenks misses with a wild body shot.
Mondello fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Tenks avoids it really well and circles away.
Mondello scores with a nice head shot.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Mondello wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Tenks, who protects the arm well.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mondello is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Tenks knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Mondello is trying to get an arm triangle but Tenks is defending well.

Mondello tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mondello has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
