Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between John Daniel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Armen Moshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). John Daniel has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, John Daniel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Armen Moshi!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Viktor Lagutenko and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Daniel.
A head kick from Moshi lands but Daniel takes it in his stride.

Moshi forces Daniel back against the cage and clinches.
Moshi is pressed up against the cage. Daniel has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Moshi down to the mat. Moshi avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Moshi shoots in looking for a takedown. Daniel tries to sprawl out of it but Moshi keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Daniel manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Daniel goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Moshi has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Daniel but great work by Moshi.
Daniel seems a little lost for a moment, as Moshi dominates the positioning.

Moshi is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Daniel off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Daniel looking to break Moshi's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Moshi remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Daniel will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Daniel isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Moshi stacks Daniel on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Moshi!

Moshi is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Daniel is persistently looking for the submission but Moshi is defending it well.

Moshi gets in close and instigates a clinch.

John Daniel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Moshi shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Daniel sprawls well. Daniel wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Moshi gets slowly back to his feet.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Daniel.
Moshi throws a chopping leg kick but Daniel manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Daniel fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Moshi avoids it really well and circles away.

Daniel really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Daniel has his foot on Moshi's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Moshi works his way back into a safe position though.

Moshi misses with a takedown attempt - Daniel sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Moshi shoots for a takedown but Daniel saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Daniel shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Moshi manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Moshi is pulling down on Daniel's head. It's preventing any offense from Daniel, at least for the moment.
Moshi is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Daniel is controlling him.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Armen Moshi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Horrible takedown by Daniel or perhaps it was just good defense by Moshi which made him look bad.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Moshi is defending against the submission attempts here by Daniel.
Moshi has his hands clasped together around Daniel's back. He's all about the action.

Daniel is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Moshi sees it coming and defends easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Daniel is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Moshi doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Daniel.

Moshi is trying to get back to full guard.
Moshi holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Moshi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Daniel. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Daniel is working for a kimura but Moshi is defending it quite comfortably.
Moshi wants to get back to full guard but Daniel has passed into side control.

Daniel is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Moshi is trying to escape and Daniel transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Moshi is forced to tap! Nice work there by Daniel! Very nice indeed!
