Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Matias Alderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Furio Falcone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alderson kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Dark moon High tide. Falcone has chosen Hatebreed - Live for this as his entrance music. Furio Falcone is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Falcone tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Alderson chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Falcone can pounce on him.
Nice sprawl there from Falcone as Alderson shoots in.
Alderson doesn't manage to clinch there - Falcone circles away.

Falcone moves in looking to clinch but Alderson pushes him off.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Furio Falcone hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
A nice inside leg kick there by Falcone. That's going to slow Alderson down.
Alderson takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Falcone feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Alderson's calf.
Falcone lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Alderson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Falcone's waist but Falcone gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Alderson off to one side.

Alderson takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Alderson is stalling here. Falcone is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Alderson seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Falcone has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

The fighters circle momentarily. Falcone darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

The fight stays on the outside here - Alderson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Alderson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Falcone can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Alderson is pulling down on Falcone's head. It's preventing any offense from Falcone, at least for the moment.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Alderson is on top in guard.
Alderson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Falcone swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Matias Alderson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Matias Alderson.
I think Falcone has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Furio Falcone decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
