The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jr drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Jr scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Silva to see if he's OK.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Jr connects with a nice short shot to Silva's temple.

Jr's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Jr is taking a breather. Silva says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Jr lands a nice short elbow.

After the fight, Edmundo Jr was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
