PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lee Sgt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keijo Harkimo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Sgt might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Full Metal Jacket. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harkimo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sgt moves away.
Harkimo throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Harkimo uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Sgt.
Sgt throws a low kick but it's checked well by Harkimo.
Harkimo ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Sgt misses with the combination.
Sgt throws a right and a left that Harkimo avoids nicely.
Sgt connects with a body shot that sends Harkimo's belly button to the back.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Keijo Harkimo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Harkimo counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Sgt tries to bum rush Harkimo with a series of wild strikes but Harkimo uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Harkimo drops his hands momentarily and Sgt takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Sgt sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Harkimo clobbers Sgt with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Sgt feints a jab promting Harkimo to slip. Sgt then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Harkimo slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Sgt throws a lazy right hand but Harkimo sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Harkimo cracks Sgt with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Sgt moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Harkimo sends Sgt crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Harkimo is motioning to the referee to let Sgt up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Oh Sgt is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

BAM! Harkimo delivers a spinning backfist that drops Sgt like a ragdoll! This is all oooooveeeer! He was out before he hit the ground!

In his post fight interview, Keijo Harkimo started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
