Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Richard Trenton Chase (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nathan Dimebag (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Richard Trenton Chase!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Nathan Dimebag!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Anni Minnemäki and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dimebag moves forwards but Chase connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Chase looks to land a left hand but Dimebag moved out of range nicely.
A decent looking cross lands there for Chase.
Chase throws the left hand but Dimebag avoids the punch easily.
A left lands for Chase.

Dimebag looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Dimebag seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Dimebag missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dimebag controlling the pace.

Dimebag's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Nathan Dimebag wasn't active enough on the ground.
A slow jab from Chase misses its intended target.

Dimebag closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Richard Trenton Chase seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice shot lands for Chase.
Dimebag swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Dimebag shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

It looks like Dimebag might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Nathan Dimebag was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Chase misses with an uppercut. Dimebag saw that one coming.
Richard Trenton Chase is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Chase's corner calls for a 1-2. Chase obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Dimebag takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Dimebag bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Dimebag controls the position.
Chase knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dimebag on the ground.

Dimebag decides to stand up, so the ref orders Chase to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Dimebag gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Chase.
Chase keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Dimebag takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Chase cracks Dimebag with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.


Dimebag is rocked!
Chase is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Dimebag.
Dimebag is still on wobbly legs! Can Chase finish him?
Dimebag is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Dimebag seems to have recovered his senses.
Chase looks to throw the jab but Dimebag is out of range.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Dimebag closes the distance and clinches.
Dimebag has Chase pressed against the cage, preventing Chase from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Dimebag manages to break the clinch.

Dimebag manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Chase on his heels. He'll look to pass Chase's guard now, I'm sure.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Richard Trenton Chase will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Chase feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Dimebag sprawling to the canvas! Dimebag rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Chase finish him?!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Dimebag throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Richard Trenton Chase is winning the standup battle so far.
Today's fight clock is brought to you by... OOOH that's a huge shot by Chase! Dimebag is in big trouble here - the ref steps in to save him and this one is all over!
