Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hendry Runs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Drama Chase (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hendry Runs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Drama Chase!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Runs looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Runs misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Chase shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Chase is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Chase is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Chase content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Chase stands up from guard. Let's bang!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Chase throws a head kick that misses.

Chase clinches up with Runs and pushes him back against the cage.

Chase works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Chase looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Chase wants to control from the top but Runs keeps moving.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Drama Chase.
Runs throws a sloppy head kick and Chase moves out of range easily.
Crunch! Chase slams his shin into Runs's torso.

Chase gets a clinch.
Runs misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Chase.
Runs can't find room to land a body shot as Chase controls the action.
Chase digs a right hand underneath Runs's ribcage. Runs let out a lung full of air as it connected.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Chase avoiding damage as Runs throws knees to the body.
Chase jumps guard but Runs turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Chase on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Chase has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Runs clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Runs can't escape the position.

Runs is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Runs could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Chase throwing wild punches that miss their target.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Runs is breathing heavily.
Chase has good solid back control here.
Chase lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Chase.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Chase just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Runs trying to get back to his feet but Chase is in full control for now.
Chase connects with a big shot to the side of Runs's head.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Chase throws a series of strikes and Runs wriggles onto his back, so he's now mounted. He's in real trouble here.
Runs is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Drama Chase dominated that round.

Chase misses with a body kick.
Chase misses with a takedown attempt - Runs sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Hendry Runs is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Runs tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Chase clinches.
Runs tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Chase avoids it.
With the fighters up against the cage, Chase throws an elbow but misses.
Chase lands a shot to the body.
Chase wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Runs misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Chase.
Chase can't break the clinch.

Chase jumps into guard, dragging Runs to the mat.

Chase is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Runs is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.

Chase drags the fight down to the ground.
Chase controlling the position.
Chase is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Runs is not content to let Chase control the position.

Chase stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Chase fails with an attempt to clinch.
Runs throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A punch combination from Runs misses.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Runs throws a head kick that misses.
Chase throws a head kick but Runs moves out of range.

Chase shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Still in half guard, Chase seems content to control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Chase is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Runs doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Chase.
Runs looks like he's trying to stand up.

Runs avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Chase.
Still in half guard, Chase seems content to control.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Runs is trying to get back to full guard.

Drama Chase has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Runs is looking to clinch but Chase is avoiding it.
Runs tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Runs throws a head kick that misses.
Chase closes the distance and clinches up with Runs, looking for a takedown. Chase pushes Runs against the cage but Runs circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Runs fails with a takedown attempt.
Chase throws a head kick but Runs moves out of range.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Runs tries to sprawl but Chase drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Still in half guard, Chase seems content to control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Drama Chase showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Runs misses with a hook to the body

and Chase counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Runs's guard now.
Runs can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Chase controls the pace.
Runs working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Chase.
Chase seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Drama Chase hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Runs throws a lazy head kick

and Chase decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Runs's guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Chase passes into half guard.
Chase has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Chase is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Chase gets to his feet - back to striking we go!

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Chase clinches.
Chase controlling the action here for a moment.
Runs misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Chase.
Chase wants to take the fight to the mat but Runs manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Chase blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Runs lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Runs is looking to break free of the clinch but Chase has double underhooks.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Chase gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Runs regains guard.
Drama Chase has got the better of the ground game so far.
Chase is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Chase looking to pass the guard.
Chase sitting in guard, not really doing much.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Drama Chase wasn't active enough on the ground.
Runs throws a head kick but Chase moves out of range.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Chase avoids a kick to the body.
Chase lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Chase.

Chase closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Chase lands in his opponent's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Runs is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Chase is controlling him.
Hendry Runs has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Drama Chase comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Chase has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
