Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jackson Ryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and JJ JJ (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). JJ JJ will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Colin Fray and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
JJ fails with the takedown
and Ryan decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in JJ's guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
JJ is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Ryan gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Ryan throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. JJ was covering up waiting for the punch and Ryan finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Ryan stands up and waves to JJ to follow him.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
JJ fails with an attempt to clinch.
JJ throws a sloppy head kick and Ryan moves out of range easily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
JJ shoots in looking for a takedown but Ryan manages to keep the fight standing, pushing JJ's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
JJ has his takedown stuffed
and Ryan counters with a takedown into side control.
Jackson Ryan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of JJ JJ.

You can see the frustration on JJ's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Ryan has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
JJ wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Ryan working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ryan lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear JJ down.
Ryan stands up and beckons JJ to his feet.
Ryan tries to clinch there but JJ circles away.
Ryan slaps away a takedown attempt from JJ, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Ryan pushes JJ away with a front kick.
JJ looks gassed!
Ryan stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ryan wants it to stay on the feet.
JJ avoids a kick to the body.
Ryan avoids a punch combination nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ryan rushes JJ and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Ryan breaks the clinch.
Ryan darts in and clinches JJ up against the cage.

Ryan pulls guard effortlessly.

JJ is fighting to break Ryan's control of his arms but Ryan is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Ryan avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
JJ must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Ryan is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Ryan is looking for a triangle but JJ pushes his legs off easily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Ryan lands a decent shot there.
JJ wants to get up but he can't break Ryan's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jackson Ryan dominated that round.

JJ doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Ryan counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Jackson Ryan overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
