The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Godo throws a body punch but Gorden moves out of range.
Gorden fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Gorden throws a jab when Godo was well out of range.
Godo takes a swing at Gorden's ribcage but misses.
Godo throws a head kick but Gorden moves out of range.
Godo tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gorden swats him away and circles back towards the center.
The fighters circling - Gorden throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Godo throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gorden.
A bone on bone clash there as Godo blocks the leg kick.
Godo avoids the head kick by Gorden.
Gorden looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Gorden has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Gorden there as he acknowledges the shot.

Godo throws a nice looking combination but Gorden bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Gorden tries to score a power double leg takedown but Godo sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gorden somewhat.

Godo slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Gorden takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Khgerty Godo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Godo tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gorden swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Godo connects with a looping right hand.
Gorden closes the distance and clinches up with Godo, looking for a takedown. Gorden pushes Godo against the cage but Godo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Godo digs a good body shot into Gorden's ribs.

Godo cracks Gorden with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Godo takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Gorden scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Godo to see if he's OK.
Gorden passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Godo!
Godo sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gorden is stalling here. Godo is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Gorden seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Godo has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Godo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gorden keeps working.
You can see the frustration on Gorden's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Godo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gorden. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Gorden is looking for a sweep. Godo is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Godo wants to stand up but Gorden is controlling the position.
Gorden wants to control but Godo is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Gorden is trying to control but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jeff Gorden.
I think Godo has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
