Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Paul Mullen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
14 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tim Style!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Anthony Taglia and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Style scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Style walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Mullen checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Mullen checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Style moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Style lands a leg kick that knocks Mullen off balance momentarily.
Style fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Mullen has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Style lands a big head kick that sends Mullen tumbling to the mat! Style takes a step backwards and waves Mullen back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Mullen is rocked!
It looks like Paul Mullen has been cut.
Style connects with an inside leg kick.
Oh Mullen is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mullen is breathing heavily.
Mullen has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Style.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Style. Mullen shrugs it off though.
Style connects with an inside leg kick.
Mullen chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Style can pounce on him.
Style lands a nice leg kick that just misses Mullen's sensitive parts.
Mullen tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
A nice inside leg kick there by Style. That's going to slow Mullen down.
Style scoring well with a low kick there.
Style and Mullen are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Style throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Mullen into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Style knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.
