The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vennamo connects with a jab.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Vennamo, as that shot connected.
Orlov throws a series of punches but Vennamo moves out of range.
The fight stays on the outside here - Orlov looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Vennamo changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Vennamo scores with a decent looking hook.
It looks like Ilya Orlov has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Orlov.
Vennamo catches Orlov with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Orlov gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Orlov tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Vennamo is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Orlov buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Orlov!! Orlov is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Vennamo throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Heikki Vennamo!
