And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Alexandre Firmino and Edson Gomes.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Felipe fails with an attempt to clinch.
Joao Brasileiro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Felipe avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Brasileiro throws a chopping leg kick but Felipe manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Brasileiro changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Felipe tries to avoid it but Brasileiro manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Felipe to the ground. Felipe escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Felipe is defended easily by Brasileiro.

Brasileiro has managed to clinch.
Felipe lands a nice elbow.
Brasileiro tries for a takedown. No joy.
Felipe is defending well against a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joao Brasileiro. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Felipe escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Felipe putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Brasileiro in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Felipe checks a leg kick.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Felipe is trying desperately to improve position.

Felipe is trying to defend against the choke here but Brasileiro has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Brasileiro Tightens the hold and Felipe taps out furiously! Brasileiro displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
