The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Emerson Jorge and Matheus Silva.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Felipe scores with a kick to the midsection.

Brandao throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Felipe tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Brandao is in Felipe's guard.
Felipe is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Still in half guard, Felipe seems content to control.

Felipe is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Brandao is just riding it out for now. Felipe eventually gives up the hold.
Brandao regains full guard. Nicely done.
Felipe stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Brandao swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Felipe is posturing up here but Brandao has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Felipe tries to roll out but it's too tight and Felipe has to tap! Slick submission there by Brandao!

Diego Brandao decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
