The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fedorov shoots in looking for a takedown but Nasri manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Fedorov's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Nasri feints a jab promting Fedorov to slip. Nasri then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Fedorov slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

and Fedorov takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

enabling Nasri to counter with a crisp jab.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alexander Fedorov. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The fighters circle momentarily. Nasri darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Nasri lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Fedorov circles away quickly and effectively.
Fedorov shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Nasri as he avoids it easily.
Nasri ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Fedorov is breathing heavily.
Nasri scores with a jab to the head.
Nasri moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Nasri throws a right and a left that both miss.
Fedorov shoots in for a takedown but Nasri shows good takedown defense.
Fedorov has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Fedorov. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Nasri lands a right hook to the body.

Nasri feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Fedorovs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Nasri misses with a jab, cross combination.
Fedorov dodges the punch combination from Nasri.
Fedorov closes the distance and clinches up with Nasri, looking for a takedown. Fedorov pushes Nasri against the cage but Nasri circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Nasri lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Nasri.

Nasri moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Fedorov.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fedorov is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Fedorov trying to get back to full guard but Nasri takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
Fedorov manages to regain half guard. Good work.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Nasri lands a nice short elbow.

Fedorov has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Nasri. Oh but Fedorov has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Nasri goes limp - he's gone! Fedorov jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!

Alexander Fedorov opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
