Quin comes to the cage accompanied by Michel Teló - Ai Se Eu Te Pego . Sinaloa has chosen Bruce Springsteen - Sinaloa Cowboys as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Miguel Sinaloa!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Albert Achterberg and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sinaloa lands a jab-cross combination.
Sinaloa throws a lazy uppercut

and Quin counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Quin.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Quin makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Quin accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Sinaloa looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Quin stands and throws Sinaloa's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Quin has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Quin throws an elbow but Sinaloa slips to the side and avoids it well.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Quin controlling the position.
Sinaloa is looking for a sweep.
Check out the look on Quin's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

Quin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sinaloa keeps working.

Quin wants to control but Sinaloa is keeping him busy.

Quin swings around for an armbar but Sinaloa sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Quin's guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Quin is on top in guard.
Quin controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Quin trying to control the position from guard on top but Sinaloa is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Sinaloa is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Quin postures up and lands a big shot to Sinaloa's brow.
Sinaloa keeping moving, preventing Quin from controlling successfully.
Sinaloa controls Quin momentarily but Quin frees himself.
Quin is stalling in the full guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Quin postures up in Sinaloa's guard and throws a big left but Sinaloa blocks it.

Quin wants to pass the guard but Sinaloa is keeping the position.
Quin showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Erik Quin just wasn't active enough.

Sinaloa tries to keep at a distance but Quin has taken the fight into the clinch.

Quin gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Sinaloa is looking to control Quin's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Sinaloa avoid being mounted?
Quin is stalling here. Sinaloa is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Quin seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Sinaloa has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Sinaloa has hold of Quin's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Quin tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Sinaloa cranks the arm and Quin screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Quin, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Miguel Sinaloa!

Miguel Sinaloa very nearly forgot to thank Untouchable Fight Gear amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
