Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kai Maki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Masters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maki's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Harvester of Sorrow. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kai Maki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Chris Masters!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Johanna Lukiainen and Roosa Järviläinen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maki moves in looking to clinch but Masters pushes him off.

Masters darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Masters missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Maki tries to get to full guard but Masters has control of the leg.
Masters with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Masters's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Maki moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Maki throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Masters escapes and throws Maki's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Masters sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Maki is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Masters tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Masters has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Masters thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
You can see the frustration on Maki's face as Masters controls the position.
Maki tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Masters wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Masters is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Maki has escaped the position, nice work there.

Masters has an Americana. Maki didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Masters is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Masters hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Chris Masters!
