Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tony Norris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Shrimp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shrimp has chosen drowning pool-step up as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tony Norris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, James Shrimp!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Roger Salmon and Micheangelo Fripello.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Norris tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Shrimp blocks a head kick by Norris.
A head kick misses from Norris.
Norris dodges the punch combination from Shrimp.
Norris misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Norris connects with an inside leg kick.
Shrimp pivots, looking for a leg kick but Norris is out of range and Shrimp settles back down.
Shrimp tries a head kick but it misses.
Norris blocks the body kick.

Norris closes the distance and pushes Shrimp back into the ropes.

Norris lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Norris scores with a hook to the body.
Norris works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Shrimp takes a shot to the head.
Norris is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Shrimp is keeping busy.

Norris fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Shrimp has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Norris misses with a jab, cross combination.
Norris fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Shrimp.

Norris lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Norris pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Shrimp takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Tony Norris seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Norris throws a series of punches but Shrimp avoids them all with ease.

Norris bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Shrimp uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Norris.
Shrimp on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Norris. Norris obviously looking to wear him down.

Norris will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Norris has managed to clinch.
Shrimp has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Norris after a bit of a struggle.

Norris is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Shrimp can do to turn this around?

OK we're going to have a standup here. James Shrimp hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Norris is looking to clinch.
Shrimp lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Norris scores with a nice body kick.
Tony Norris is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Shrimp is breathing heavily.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Norris, as that shot connected.
Shrimp's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Norris connects with a leg kick. Shrimp looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Shrimp on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Norris closes the distance and clinches.

Norris breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Norris sizes up Shrimp with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Shrimp throws a sloppy body shot
and Norris counters with a nice low kick that buckles Shrimp's knee momentarily.
Shrimp stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Norris.
Norris is looking to slow Shrimp down with leg kicks.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Shrimp crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Norris - the referee stops the clock and Shrimp gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Norris. Shrimp manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Shrimp shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Norris connects with a nice looking jab.
Shrimp gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Norris.

Norris throws a right and a left that both miss.

Norris lands a big head kick that sends Shrimp tumbling to the mat! Norris takes a step backwards and waves Shrimp back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Shrimp is rocked!


It looks like James Shrimp has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Shrimp misses with a looping left.
Shrimp is still on wobbly legs! Can Norris finish him?
Norris lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Norris fakes the leg kick and cracks Shrimp in the body.
Shrimp seems to have recovered his senses.

and Norris makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Oooooh!!! Norris has knocked Shrimp down with a huge combo! Norris steps away and waves a wobbly Shrimp back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
