Emelianenko's entrance music is Казаки - Ой Да . A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wizzle walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Emelianenko checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Emelianenko misses the jab.
Donk. Emelianenko catches Wizzle right on the button with a cross.
Emelianenko cracks Wizzle with a right hand to the side of the head.
Wizzle takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Wizzle uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Emelianenko.
Wizzle tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Wizzle is trying to trip Emelianenko. He has hold of a leg but Emelianenko is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Wizzle persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Emelianenko sizes up Wizzle with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

It looks like Shizzle Wizzle has been cut.

and Emelianenko is countered with a crisp right hand from Wizzle that sends him to the canvas! Wizzle follows him to the mat into side control.

Wizzle misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
