Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dick van Greeven (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuudai Ryuu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). van Greeven comes to the cage accompanied by Tom Waits - Telephone call from Istanbul. Ryuu is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by High on Fire - Bastard Samurai. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Robert Twigg and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ryuu waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract van Greeven.
van Greeven avoids the body shot from Ryuu.
Ryuu throws a series of punches but van Greeven moves out of range.
van Greeven fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ryuu manages to avoid it.
A chopping leg kick lands by Ryuu.
Ryuu misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from van Greeven.
van Greeven on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Ryuu lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
van Greeven throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ryuu's waist but Ryuu gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing van Greeven off to one side.
van Greeven loads up on a big right hand but Ryuu slips the punch.
van Greeven throws a jab but it's blocked by Ryuu.
Ryuu shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Ryuu was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ryuu swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and van Greeven is now in Ryuu's guard. A big mistake from Ryuu there, giving up the dominant position!

van Greeven slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Ryuu wants to sweep here but van Greeven controlling him for the moment.

van Greeven has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
