Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 26 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mountain Rivera!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brian Adams!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Chris Downing and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Adams closes the distance and clinches.
Adams has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Rivera avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Rivera tries to score a body lock takedown but Adams shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Adams pulls guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Rivera working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Adams wants to get back to his feet but Rivera is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Rivera wants to control from the top but Adams keeps moving.
Rivera is looking to work some ground and pound but Adams has wrist control.
Rivera missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Adams keeping moving, preventing Rivera from controlling successfully.
Adams throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Adams looking to hit a scissor sweep but Rivera is one step ahead there.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Mountain Rivera just wasn't active enough.
Adams misses with a series of wild punches.
Rivera shoots in but Adams avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Adams scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Rivera wants to control but Adams is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Adams is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Adams is looking to take a break and control but Rivera is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Adams looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Adams thows a huge punch but Rivera dodges it nicely.
Rivera is refusing to be controlled, as Adams sits in half guard.
Rivera tries to kick Adams off but Adams keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Adams is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Rivera sees it coming and defends easily.

Adams is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Rivera doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Adams.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Rivera kicks off Adams and gets to his feet.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Adams.
Rivera tries to clinch up but Adams circles away and keeps his distance.
Adams keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mountain Rivera. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rivera is trying hard to land a takedown here. Adams sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Rivera has a takedown stuffed.

Rivera gets caught napping as Adams dives in and scores a takedown. Rivera manages to retain guard.

Rivera is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Rivera keeping moving, preventing Adams from controlling successfully.

Adams showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Adams wants to get up but he can't break Rivera's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Rivera is trying to control the position but Adams postures up.

Rivera is working an open guard so Adams takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Adams gets the takedown into side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Adams postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Adams has hold of Rivera's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Rivera tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Adams cranks the arm and Rivera screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Rivera, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
